Special Issue Call for Papers – 2026
Theme: Strategic Management, Innovation, and Inclusive Transformation in Emerging African Economies
Contemporary management scholarship increasingly emphasises the interconnectedness of sustainable economic development, organisational success, institutional effectiveness, and inclusive growth, particularly within emerging economies facing rapid digital transformation, economic uncertainty, governance challenges, and evolving market dynamics. African economies provide an important context for advancing management science, driven by growing entrepreneurial activity, digital innovation, financial technology development, and institutional reforms, alongside persistent challenges such as unemployment, inequality, poverty, and infrastructure limitations. These realities create opportunities for theoretically grounded and empirically rigorous research examining how organisations, institutions, and business ecosystems develop resilience, innovation, and strategic adaptability to foster sustainable and inclusive transformation. This special issue, therefore, invites interdisciplinary conceptual, empirical, and review-based studies that contribute to contemporary debates in strategic management, innovation, entrepreneurship, governance, organisational behaviour, sustainability, and digital transformation, with a strong emphasis on theoretical contribution, methodological rigour, and practical relevance for managers, policymakers, and development practitioners.
